About Us
Company Profile Our company, DeFoor Drywall &
Acoustical Supply, is a growing and aggressive independent gypsum specialty dealer in the middle Georgia and Atlanta
areas. We were established in 1966 as DeFoor Acoustical, Inc, by R. C. DeFoor, father of present owners D. Jay and
Tim W. DeFoor. We began as a commercial drywall and acoustical ceiling contractor, and operated successfully in
that capacity for over twenty-five years. Brothers D. Jay and Tim gradually began selling drywall and acoustical
products for others to install, and eventually terminated installation services in order to focus exclusively on
product distribution. Today, we are operating as the original corporation that started in 1966. We are DeFoor
Acoustical, Inc., DBA DeFoor Drywall and Acoustical Supply. Today, we are proud to have several family members
involved in the company's operation.
In 1999, D. Jay and Tim made the strategic decision to expand our company's services and supplies by opening a second location in order to better serve the metropolitan area of Atlanta. Our organization continues healthy growth, with both of our locations thriving. Today, with our large fleet of twenty-five modern delivery trucks and two warehouses, we are capable of serving a wide geographical area, and we are the area's preferred supplier of the products and services that we provide. Our Corporate Creedo In order to run their businesses effectively and efficiently, our customers require our very best in products and services. We accomplish this by using state-of-the-art equipment and technology, and by maintaining large and complete inventories. Through continuous self-examination and customer feedback, we strive to be the best we can be. Our company motto says it all: "Our Inheritance - EXPERIENCE, Our Trademark - SERVICE." Our entire DeFoor team treasures the experience we have acquired, and we all understand that customer service is number one! Our Valuable Service Our delivery service is managed by co-owner Tim W. DeFoor. It is the pride and backbone of our business. With a current fleet of twenty-five delivery trucks and approximately seventy employees, we provide an unequaled delivery service. Typically, our work day starts early in the morning, when we ready the first loads for the day. We check them for accuracy and safety before sending them to our customer's job sites. We also begin receiving incoming materials from our many suppliers. Throughout the work day, we safely and accurately deliver material to our customers. We deliver to many different types of construction sites, including single-family homes and apartment buildings, commercial buildings and shopping centers, high-rise offices Associations & Registrations
